For most trekkers reaching the summit is a pivotal lifetime achievement. Many of them put a great deal of thought into the decision to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. After all, it is a long trip to a remote country in Africa. Also, compared to other hiking trips all over the world, Mt Kilimanjaro adventures are more expensive. Marangu route which is also known as the coca-cola route is the least expensive route to the summit. This is also the only route with the comforts of sleeping huts at every campsite with solar lights and comfortable beds.
7 Days Machame Route

Nicknamed the “Whiskey” route because the route is popularized as somewhat difficult and more expensive than the Marangu route. This is one of the best routes to take, both in terms of acclimatization and cost.
4 Days - Mount Meru Climbing in Arusha

Magnetized by Mt Kilimanjaro, the hikers often overlook Mt Meru, the second-highest peak of Tanzania. Towering over Arusha National Park, Mount Meru offers both an excellent warm-up exercise for Kilimanjaro, in addition to being a stunning trekking experience in the wild.
6 Days Rongai Route

The Rongai Route is one of the easiest routes and the success rate is very high. The route starts on the north side of the mountain just south of the Kenyan border and is one of the least travelled routes.
8 Days Lemosho Route

The Lemosho route is one of the best routes for acclimatization. The route is one of the few where groups may be accompanied on the first day by an armed ranger, as the forests around the Lemosho Glades are inhabited by wildlife.

The Umbwe Route is steeper and shorter than the Machame Route. Once at the Barranco Hut, you continue on with the other Machame hikers. Since it is very short, it is not recommended for people with little altitude experience.
9 Days Northern Circuit Route

The Northern Circuit is the newest route up Kilimanjaro and also the longest. Because of its length, the Northern Circuit has the highest summit success rate. The route follows the same as the Lemosho Route for the first two days.
